Okay, so I recently got into this whole Harry Hall thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I’ve always been kinda fascinated by horses, you know? They’re just these majestic creatures. But I never really thought about, like, actually riding them or anything.
So, I started poking around online, just to see what this whole equestrian world was all about. That’s when I stumbled upon Harry Hall. I guess they’re like the go-to guys for all things horse-related in Britain.
First, I just started by reading some articles on their site. They’ve got a ton of info on everything from basic riding tips to how to take care of a horse, which, honestly, is way more complicated than I thought.
Then, I started looking into, you know, actually getting on a horse. I mean I searched some info online and then I found a local barn that offered riding lessons. I called them up, and they told me they had a certified instructor, which sounded pretty legit. So I made an appointment to check it out.
- I went down to the barn and watched one of the instructor’s classes.
- He seemed to know what he was doing, and the people in the class seemed to be having fun, so I figured, why not?
- I signed up for a beginner’s lesson.
It was a little nerve-wracking at first, not gonna lie. Getting up on that horse, it’s a lot higher than it looks! But the instructor was super patient, and he showed me the basics – how to hold the reins, how to sit, how to get the horse to walk and trot.
After a few lessons, I started to get the hang of it. I even started thinking about how to get myself more fit for riding. Turns out, there’s a whole bunch of exercises you can do to improve your “horse riding fitness” – who knew?
I’m still very much a beginner, but I’m having a blast. And I’m learning so much, not just about riding, but about horses in general. It’s like a whole new world has opened up to me.
I’m really glad I took that first step and started exploring this Harry Hall stuff. It’s led me down a path I never expected, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next.
