So, I decided to get into this “MLB The Show 24” game. I mean, I heard it’s the new hot stuff, especially for playing with your buddies.
The first thing I did was fire up my console. You know, the usual – turn it on, grab a drink, get comfy on the couch. Then I popped in the game and waited for it to load. I gotta say, the loading screen music? Pretty catchy.
Once I was in the main menu, I started poking around. I’m not gonna lie, it was a bit overwhelming at first. There are so many modes and options! But I was determined to figure out this local multiplayer thing.
After a bit of clicking around, I found it! There’s this section called “Play with Friends.” That’s where the magic happens. You go in there, and boom – you can set up a game with up to four players, all on the same console. No internet needed! It’s like the good old days, you know?
- First, you choose how many players you got.
- Then, you pick your teams. I went with the Dodgers, obviously.
- After that, you can tweak some settings, like the difficulty and stuff. I kept it simple for the first game.
- Finally, you just hit “Start Game,” and you’re good to go!
Playing with buddies
I called up my friend Mike, and he came over to check it out. We spent the whole afternoon playing. It was a blast! We were trash-talking each other, celebrating home runs, and groaning at strikeouts. Just like when we were kids. This game really brings people together, I tell ya.
You can even team up with a friend. It has a mode, It’s called “Co-Op” or something. In this case, you can work together against the computer. Pretty cool, huh?
And get this, there’s even a mode where you can create your own custom season, with all sorts of rules and options. You can basically build your own little baseball world, right there in your living room. I haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds pretty intense!
So yeah, that’s my experience with “MLB The Show 24” local multiplayer. It’s a real good time, especially if you have some friends to play with. It’s easy to set up, and it’s just pure, unadulterated fun. I highly recommend giving it a shot!
