Okay, so today I wanted to do something special for my mom, and I had this idea to make a custom “jordan loves mom” design. I am not great at design, but let us get to it anyway!
First, I opened up my old laptop. It’s kinda slow, but it’s got all my design stuff on it.
I booted up some free design software after a while. I was thinking of keeping things simple.
Brainstorm Time
- Thought about using a heart, you know, classic “I love Mom” style.
- Considered some cool fonts, nothing too fancy, but something that looked nice and clean.
- Wanted a design for print, so it would be perfect for a card, or even a T-shirt.
Getting it Done
I started by drawing a basic heart shape. It was a little lopsided at first, took me a few tries to get it right. My hands were a bit shaky this moring!
Then, I typed out “jordan loves mom”. I picked a font that looked kinda sporty but still readable.
I played around with the placement, putting the words inside the heart, then below it, then back inside again. Deciding wasn’t so easy!
After that, I added some color. Went with a nice red for the heart, and a simple black for the text. Keep it clean and simple!
The Final Touches
I spent a good while just tweaking things. Moving stuff around, changing the font size a little, making sure everything looked centered and balanced.
Finally, I saved it! Saved multiple versions, just in case. You know how things can go with software, don’t want to lost progress and had to re-do everything from scratch.
And that’s it! It wasn’t super complicated, but it was made with love. That’s the most important part, right? I printed it out on some nice paper, and it actually looked pretty good! I think Mom will like it.
Maybe next time I’ll try something a bit more challenging, but for now, this simple “jordan loves mom” design is perfect.
