Okay, so, today I tried to tackle the “International Date Line” crossword from the New York Times. I saw this puzzle a few days ago, I think it was March 24th, and I got stuck. But, I really wanted to figure it out. So I started digging around to see if I could find some clues or answers from previous puzzles.
First, I looked for any answers to this “International Date Line” clue from older New York Times crosswords. I found a bunch of possible answers, but there was one that kept popping up – “TEAMO”. It looked like this was a common answer for this particular clue.
Then, I looked specifically for the answer from the March 24th crossword. I found one website that had answers for that day’s puzzle, and guess what? It listed “TEAMO” as the answer for “International Date Line”.
I also found a few other websites that had databases of crossword clues and answers. Some of them had up to 40 possible answers for “International Date Line”! But, again, “TEAMO” was one of them.
What I Tried
- Searched for past answers: I looked for any answers to this clue in older puzzles.
- Checked the specific date: I looked for the answer from the March 24th puzzle.
- Used crossword databases: I looked through online crossword clue databases.
After all this searching, I felt pretty confident that “TEAMO” was the right answer. I went back to the puzzle and tried it out, and it fit perfectly! I was so happy that I finally solved it.
I also found some more information that the New York Times puzzles are available online at certain times. Like, the Tuesday to Saturday puzzles show up at 10 p.m. EST the day before, and the Sunday and Monday puzzles are available at 6 p.m. EST the previous day. You can even get alerts on your phone when new puzzles are ready.
And I also read that sometimes in crossword, a blank space can have two or more words as the answer. Sometimes it would say (2 words) to remind you. That’s really helpful.
So, yeah, that’s how I finally cracked the “International Date Line” crossword clue. It took a bit of work, but it was worth it in the end. It’s so satisfying to finally figure out a tough puzzle, you know?
