Well, let me tell you about this Jayson Tatum fella. You know, the one they talk about on the TV, the basketball player. This boy, he’s somethin’ else. Heard he’s a big shot now. But is he black? That’s what folks keep askin’.
He’s from that St. Louis place, I reckon. Born there, they say. Jayson Christopher Tatum, that’s his full name. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Born on March 3rd, I heard. Now, his daddy, Justin Tatum, I hear tell he’s African American. That’s what them fancy websites say, anyways. One of ’em called Ethni…EthniCelebs, or somethin’ like that.
This young Jayson, he’s done real good for himself. They say he’s a five-time, five-time, mind you, NBA All-Star! Can you believe that? And a four-time All-NBA somethin’ or other. That’s a lot of “Alls”! He must be good at throwin’ that ball around. This was all in 2024, mind you. Time sure does fly.
Now, his mama, I hear her name is Brandy Cole. People always askin’ if she’s black, too. Well, I ain’t met her, so I can’t say for sure. But the daddy, Justin, they say he’s definitely African American. So, you do the math. He got a little boy too, name of Deuce I heard. Cute name.
- Jayson Christopher Tatum
- Born in St. Louis
- Daddy is Justin Tatum
- Mama is Brandy Cole
- He got a son name Deuce
They say Jayson was just a young’un, 19 years old, when he got drafted. That’s what they call it when them big teams pick you. He got picked, and now look at him! He’s got that little boy, Deuce, with him all the time. Says it’s his favorite part of it all, bein’ with his boy every day. That’s sweet, ain’t it?
Heard Jayson got a little brother, too. Jaycob Tatum, they call him. So, there’s another Tatum boy runnin’ around. Good for them. This Jayson, he seems like a good boy. Works hard, takes care of his family. That’s what matters, right?
This Jayson, his daddy played basketball too, I hear. Played for that St. Louis place. So, it runs in the family, I guess. Like father, like son, as they say. He must be proud of his boy, this Justin fella. I’d be proud if my boy was an NBA All-Star, five times over!
So, is Jayson Tatum black? Well, his daddy sure is. That’s what I know. And he seems like a good kid. Does it really matter, anyway? He’s good at basketball, and that’s what folks watch him for. That, and bein’ a good daddy to that little Deuce boy.
I heard some other fella talkin’ ’bout a different Tatum. Born in Alabama, or some place. Said he had Irish and French and German in him. That ain’t our Jayson. Our Jayson is from St. Louis, remember? Don’t get ’em mixed up now. This other fella, he’s got a sister named Paige, I hear. But our Jayson, he’s got a brother, Jaycob.
It’s all a bit confusin’, ain’t it? All these names and places. But the important thing is, this Jayson Tatum, he’s a good basketball player. And from what I hear, a good daddy, too. That’s all that really matters in the end. He’s makin’ a good life for himself and his boy. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, no matter what color you are.
I don’t know much about this basketball stuff. But I know a good story when I hear one. And this Jayson Tatum, he’s got a good story. From St. Louis to the big time, with his little boy by his side. That’s a story worth tellin’, I reckon.
