But then, things get weird. Real weird. This shop, it’s got a secret room. And in that secret room, there’s a… a “hole.” Now, I don’t know what kind of hole they’re talkin’ ’bout, but it seems mighty important. This hole, it’s the key to everything, it seems.
- Secret Hole: It all starts with this mysterious hole in the grandpa’s shop. What’s it for? What’s in it? Nobody knows, but it sure is important.
- No Men in the Village: Then there’s this whole thing about there bein’ no men in the village. Can ya believe it? Just a bunch of ladies. And guess what? They got…needs. If you catch my drift.
- Taking Care of Business: So, this young fella, he’s gotta take care of the shop, sure, but he’s also gotta, well… take care of the ladies. It’s a lot for one fella to handle, I tell ya.
I hear tell there’s somethin’ called “manhwa” too. Sounds like “manga,” but different, I guess. They got these “chapters,” like a book, and you can read ’em online. Folks are readin’ “The Hole is Open” this way too. They got pretty pictures, they say. High quality, whatever that means.
Now, some folks say this “anime” is refreshin’. Said they didn’t like it at first, all that blood and weird lookin’ pictures. But then, they started to like it. But if you like stories that are different, stories that make you think, and maybe stories that are a little… spicy, then maybe this is for you. It ain’t for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. But it’s got somethin’ to it, somethin’ that keeps folks comin’ back for more.
They also got these “official English translations” so you don’t have to guess what them Japanese folks are sayin’. And they put out new “chapters” and “episodes” regular, so you always got somethin’ new to look forward to.

If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ different, somethin’ to get your mind off things, then give it a try. Just don’t say I didn’t warn ya, it’s a bit… much.
