Okay, so, today I was just messing around, you know, doing my usual internet deep dive, and I stumbled upon something that really caught my eye – the Wonderlic scores. You know, that test they make all the potential NFL players take? Yeah, that one. It’s supposed to measure how good they are at solving problems and making decisions quickly. So, naturally, I got curious about this year’s quarterback class and their scores.

The first thing I did was, I started googling. I was just typing in “Wonderlic scores NFL draft” and seeing what popped up. And guess what? I couldn’t find JaMarcus Russell’s score anywhere! It was like, poof, vanished. Even his name seemed to be missing from some lists. What a start, huh.
Then I went to some of those football stats websites to dig up this specific score. I was like, “There’s gotta be some record of this somewhere, right?” I was clicking around, checking out different sites, but it was all the same – nothing on Russell. I mean, other players’ scores were there, but his? Nope. Just gone. It felt like searching for a needle in a haystack, only the needle wasn’t even in the haystack!
Then I start to go deep.
- I started checking out forums and discussion boards, you know, those places where die-hard fans hang out.
- I was hoping maybe someone had talked about it, maybe someone knew something.
- I spent a good chunk of time scrolling through posts, reading comments, all that jazz.
- And yeah, there were some mentions of Russell, some speculation, but nothing concrete.
The whole thing just got me thinking
Why was this information so hard to find? Was it intentionally hidden? I had also found some historical articles during my search. It seems like this guy E. F. Wonderlic came up with this test to check out people’s math skills and stuff. I don’t know what it has to do with football. But that’s all I have got for now. I might dig deeper into this later. It’s just weird, right? Anyway, that’s my little adventure for today. Just thought I’d share. See ya!
