Okay, so I’ve been seeing Jason Day rocking Malbon Golf gear, and I gotta say, I was intrigued. I’ve always been a pretty traditional golf attire kind of guy, but something about the Malbon style caught my eye. I decided to give it a shot and see if I could pull off the look, or if I’d just end up looking like I was trying too hard.

My Malbon Experiment
First, I spent some time online, just browsing through pictures of Jason Day in his various Malbon outfits. I noticed a few key things:
- He often wears looser-fitting pants, sometimes even joggers.
- He mixes classic golf polos with more streetwear-inspired pieces.
- He’s not afraid of bold colors or patterns.
- He keeps accessories minimal, and shoes are fire.
Armed with this intel and with shopping cart ready, I started my experiment!
Putting Together My Looks
I didn’t want to go full-on Jason Day right away, so I started with small steps. I picked up a pair of Malbon’s relaxed-fit golf pants in a neutral color (khaki, of course). They were definitely more comfortable than my usual slim-fit golf trousers, and they had a slightly more modern look. Next!
Then, I grabbed a couple of polos. One was a pretty standard solid color, but the other had a subtle, retro-inspired pattern. I figured I could mix and match these with the pants and some of my existing golf sweaters.
For shoes, I’m a nut! So I have plenty of options, I went with spikeless. Simple, clean. Boom.
The On-Course Test
The real test, of course, was wearing the outfits on the course. I have to admit, I felt a little self-conscious at first. I was so used to my traditional golf clothes that the Malbon stuff felt a bit…different. But you know what? After a few holes, I started to get into it. The looser pants were incredibly comfortable, especially when walking the course.
I even got a few compliments from my playing partners! They were curious about the Malbon brand, and they said I looked pretty sharp. (Not sure if they were just being nice, but I’ll take it!)
My Verdict
So, after a few weeks of experimenting with the Jason Day / Malbon look, I’m a convert. I’m not going to completely ditch my classic golf clothes, but I’m definitely going to incorporate more Malbon pieces into my wardrobe. I found that it’s a fun way to mix things up and add a little bit of modern style to my game. I’m not going to be winning any “best-dressed” awards anytime soon, but I feel good, and that’s what matters, right?

It was all about feeling and just having fun! Step out of your comfort zone and try things!
