Well, y’all might’ve heard the news about Coach Jay Johnson. Now, lemme tell ya, there’s been a lotta talk going around ever since he got ejected from that game. People were all askin’, “What’s gonna happen to him? Is he gonna be suspended?” But, turns out, there ain’t gonna be no suspension for ol’ Jay Johnson. He’s still gonna be in that dugout come Sunday afternoon, ready to cheer on his LSU team like he always does.
Now, I know a lotta folks saw that little spat he had with the umpires outside the dugout, and they was worried he’d be in trouble. I reckon some thought he might miss a game or two. But lemme tell ya, Jay’s rule about getting ejected is a little different from what folks might expect. See, he told us before that if he got tossed outta a game, it’d mean a suspension. But that only counts during the regular season. When it comes to post-season, that rule gets put on hold, like a slate that’s been wiped clean. So, don’t go worryin’ your pretty little heads about him missin’ any more games. He’ll be right there with the team.
Y’all remember that game against Florida, don’t ya? That one where Florida got all them homers and beat LSU bad? Well, Jay Johnson got ejected then, too. The Gators was just hittin’ the ball outta the park like it was nobody’s business. Now, even though his team took a loss that day, Jay Johnson didn’t let it get to him. He got up, dusted himself off, and kept right on workin’ with his boys.
And now, even though there’s some folks talkin’ about whether Jay Johnson will be around for the SEC Championship, it looks like LSU’s coach is still gonna be in the game. He’s a strong one, y’all. Ain’t no ejection gonna keep him away from his team, especially not in the post-season. His team’s still in it, so Jay’s gonna keep his eyes on the prize.
Now, I gotta say, Jay’s not the kinda fella to back down from a little confrontation. If you’ve been watchin’ LSU baseball this season, you’d know that. But the thing about Jay is, he knows how to handle himself. Even when things get heated, he knows when to step back and let the game play out. And that’s what makes him a good coach. He don’t let one little spat with the umps get in the way of his focus. He’s got bigger fish to fry.
So, folks, don’t get all riled up about this suspension business. Jay’s still with the LSU Tigers, and come Sunday, he’ll be right back in that dugout with his team, doin’ what he does best. Ain’t no rule gonna stop him from doin’ his job, not even a little ejection here and there.
In the end, it’s all about gettin’ the team to the finish line, and Jay Johnson’s still on the job. Ain’t no stoppin’ him now. So, keep your eyes peeled, ‘cause LSU’s gonna be makin’ some noise in that SEC Championship, and Coach Jay Johnson will be right there, ready to lead his boys to victory.
