I remember that day pretty clearly. I was just messing around on my computer, you know, killing time. I stumbled upon something about this baseball coach, Jim Schlossnagle. I didn’t really know who he was, but the name kinda stuck with me.
So, naturally, I started digging. Just typing his name into the search bar and seeing what popped up. A bunch of articles came up, mostly about his career. Seems like he’s a big shot in college baseball. Born in 1970, Hagerstown, Maryland, the whole nine yards. That was all fine and good, but then things got a little bit more interesting.
I found out that he was married. His wife’s name is Kami. They say she’s a social worker, which is pretty cool. I like to see couples who are both doing good things in the world. But beyond that, there wasn’t much to find on her. It was all about Jim and his baseball career, which, again, is cool, but not what I was looking for at that moment.
I kept digging, hoping to find some more personal stuff. I don’t know why, just felt like it. That’s when I saw something about him switching teams, from TCU to Texas A&M. Apparently, it was a big deal in the baseball world. There was some connection with the Athletic Director at UT, Chris Del Conte, from their time together at TCU.
There was even a quote from Jim about why he left TCU. He said he “didn’t need this job” and that he already had a “great job.” It seems like he moved to Texas A&M in 2021. It wasn’t easy to find that though.
