Okay, so yesterday I finally decided to mess around with this “Ken Hardy” thing I’d been hearing about. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure what to expect, but a few buddies kept saying it was worth checking out, so, you know, why not?

Getting Started
First things first, I had to figure out exactly what Ken Hardy even was. A quick search told me it’s kind of a framework, or maybe a methodology? It’s all about, like, personal development and achieving goals, but in a pretty structured way. Seemed a bit intense at first, but I figured I’d give it a shot.
The Deep Dive
I started by just watching some videos about Ken Hardy’s core principles. There’s a lot of talk about setting clear intentions, identifying obstacles, and, this is a big one, taking consistent action. Sounds simple enough, right? But it’s the “consistent” part that always gets me. I’m great at starting things, not so great at sticking with them.
Anyway, I decided to pick one small area of my life to focus on. I’ve been meaning to get back into a regular workout routine, so that seemed like a good place to start. I wrote down my goal: “Workout for at least 30 minutes, three times a week.” Then, following the Ken Hardy stuff, I listed out all the things that usually get in the way: being tired, feeling lazy, getting distracted by other things, the usual suspects.
Putting It into Action
This is where things got interesting. The Ken Hardy approach isn’t just about identifying problems, it’s about creating specific strategies to overcome them. So, for each obstacle, I had to come up with a plan. For example, for “being tired,” my plan was to schedule my workouts for the morning, before I had a chance to get worn out by the day. For “feeling lazy,” I decided to find a workout buddy to keep me accountable.
- Obstacle: Tiredness.
- Solution: Workout in the morning.
- Obstacle: Laziness
- Solution: Get accountability partner.
I actually put these plans into a little chart, just to make it super clear. Seemed a little overkill, but it actually helped!
The Results (So Far)
Okay, it’s only been a day, so I can’t claim any massive life changes yet. But, I did wake up this morning and actually do my workout. And I felt pretty good afterward. I even called my buddy to schedule our next session. So, that’s a win, right?
I’ll kept going with this all week.

I’m still not sure if I’m a total Ken Hardy convert, but I’m definitely intrigued. It’s kind of like having a personal coach in your head, constantly reminding you of your goals and pushing you to take action. And honestly, that’s something I could probably use a little more of in my life.
