Thinking Back on Kim Clijsters’ Wedding
So, the topic today is Kim Clijsters’ wedding. It makes me think back, you know? I remember when the news came out she was getting married. Not the first time there was buzz, remember the thing with Hewitt? But this one, to Brian Lynch, felt different. It felt… solid.

I was really into tennis back then. Followed all the big names. Kim was always one of my favorites. Such power, but seemed like a genuinely nice person. You don’t always get that.
Seeing her get married, it kinda hit me. Here’s this top athlete, world number one and all that, deciding to step back, start a family. It wasn’t just a wedding, it felt like a big life choice. Made me think about my own stuff. What’s really important? Work? Family? Finding that balance?
- She took time off.
- Had her daughter.
- Then came back and won more Grand Slams!
That comeback after marriage and a kid? Man, that was something else. It wasn’t just about the wedding itself, but what came after. It showed you could do both, maybe? Have the family life and still chase your dreams. Not easy, I bet. Probably took a ton of work and support.
It wasn’t some flashy celebrity blowout you see sometimes. Seemed pretty grounded. Maybe that’s why it stuck with me. Just seemed real. Made you think about your own path, the choices you make. Yeah, just remembering that time. Different phase of life for me too back then.
