Okay, so today I wanna talk about the longest drivers on the LPGA tour. Let’s get into it!
First off, I gotta say, I’m a huge golf fan. I watch a lot of tournaments and I’m always amazed by how far these ladies can hit the ball. I mean, it’s seriously impressive! So, I got curious and decided to do a little digging.
I started by looking up some recent tournaments. Just kind of browsing through the stats, you know? And I noticed a few names that kept popping up when it came to driving distance. One name that really stood out was Anne van Dam. Apparently, back in 2021, she had this monster drive that went 290.82 yards. That’s insane! It’s the longest drive ever recorded on the LPGA tour!
- Anne van Dam – 290.82 yards (record-breaking!)
Then I went further and searched for the average driving distances. Maria Fassi was at the top last year, averaging almost 280 yards per drive. The year before that, it was Anne van Dam again, clocking in at 291 yards. These ladies are consistent!
- Maria Fassi – nearly 280 yards (last year’s average)
- Anne van Dam – 291 yards (average the year before)
There were some other names that showed up in my research. Like, I read that Georgia Hall once hit a 355-yard bomb at some tournament in Singapore in 2018. I couldn’t find the exact yardage for her average, but still, 355 yards? That’s crazy far!
- Georgia Hall – 355-yard drive (2018 in Singapore)
And of course, I couldn’t forget about Lexi Thompson. Everyone knows she’s one of the longest hitters out there. I found a couple of articles mentioning her. It seems like she’s always near the top of the driving distance stats.
- Lexi Thompson – Known for being consistently long off the tee
My Findings
So, after all this “research,” I guess what I found was not really shocking. These women can seriously crush the ball! It was cool to see some actual numbers and learn about some record-breaking drives. I just checked the stats, compared some names, and wrote them down. It is pretty easy but interesting. I might do this more often. I mean I watch these games all the time, might as well dig a little deeper, right?
Anyway, if you’re into golf, keep an eye on these names. They’re fun to watch, especially when they’re bombing it down the fairway. Maybe I should start a spreadsheet or something, haha! Alright, that’s all I got for today. Catch you later!
