Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “Los Angeles Chokers” pop up everywhere, and I kinda wanted to see what the fuss was about. I decided to try making one myself, just to see if I could do it, and you know what? It wasn’t that hard!

First, I gathered my stuff. I needed:
- Some leather cord (I found some at a craft store, it was pretty cheap).
- A few beads, I wanted to used some different color ones
- Scissors,For cutting the cord, obviously.
- And some of those little clasp things, You know, to connect the ends.
I started by measuring the cord around my neck. I wanted it to be snug, but not, like, choking me, obviously. I added a couple extra inches just in case. I cut the cord to that length.
Then came the fun part – adding the beads! I just slid them onto the cord, playing around with the order until I liked how it looked. I did a pattern.
After the beads were on, I attached the clasps. This was a little tricky, I had to open the little loops on the clasps and hook them onto the ends of the cord, and then close the loops again. I used some pliers for this part and did it.
And that was it! I put it on, and it actually looked pretty good! Not bad for a first try, if I do say so myself. Honestly, it was way easier than I thought it would be.
