You know what I heard the other day? This young fella, Luka, his basketball card is somethin’ else. They say it’s a real big deal, this Luka Doncic card. My grandson, he’s all into this basketball stuff, showed me one. It’s just a little picture of him, but folks are goin’ crazy for it.
This one, it’s called a 2018-19 Panini Prizm Luka Doncic rookie card. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But what do I know? He says it’s like the king of all these cards. Panini Prizm, he says that’s the big name, like, everyone wants these Prizm ones. If you are new here and want a luka basketball card, this is a good choice.
And get this, there’s another one, even more special. It’s called a 2018-19 Panini Flawless Luka Doncic rookie card. Now that sounds like somethin’, don’t it? Flawless. They only made 20 of ’em, my grandson says. 20! Can you believe it? That’s rarer than a hen’s tooth! If you got your hands on one of those, you’d be sittin’ pretty, I reckon. This is the rarest luka basketball card.
This Luka fella, he’s somethin’ else. I looked on the google and he was playin’ pro ball when he was just a little older than a baby. 16 years old, if you can believe that. Now when I was 16, I was working on the field! But this boy, he’s out there playin’ with the grown men. And then, a few years later, he’s in the NBA, the big leagues, they call it. He was picked in the 2018 NBA Draft.
Now, you won’t believe how much these things are worth. I heard tell of one card, a special one, that sold for over three million dollars! Three million! For a little piece of cardboard with his picture on it. It’s called a 2018 National Treasures Luka Doncic Rookie NBA Logoman Patch card. A mouthful, ain’t it? They say it’s a new record, the most expensive one ever sold like that. It is said on the Dallas Morning News.
My grandson, he collects these things. He’s got a whole box full of ’em. He showed me some of his other Luka basketball card. He says some other ones are like this.

He’s always showin’ me this one and that one, tellin’ me how much they’re worth. I don’t understand it all, but I nod along. It makes him happy. He says one day, he’ll have a Luka Doncic card worth a fortune. I hope he does, bless his heart. Maybe he’ll buy his old grandma a new house with it, haha!
But honestly, it’s all a bit much for me. Back in my day, we didn’t have these fancy cards. We played outside, in the dirt. We didn’t need no little pieces of cardboard to have fun. But times change, I guess. These kids today, they’re all about this Luka basketball card stuff and their video games. If you want your own luka basketball card, you’d better be quick, cause they’re like hotcakes, sellin’ out fast!
I still don’t quite get it, but I guess if it makes ’em happy, that’s all that matters. And who knows, maybe this Luka fella is worth all the fuss. He seems like a good player, from what I hear. I’ll have to watch him play sometime, maybe then I’ll understand why his basketball card is such a big deal.
These cards, they’re like gold, I tell ya. People are huntin’ for ’em like they’re buried treasure. And the prices, well, they just keep goin’ up and up. If you want a Luka Doncic rookie card, you better be ready to pay. And don’t be fooled by fakes, my grandson says there are lots of those out there. You gotta be careful, he says, make sure you’re buyin’ the real deal.
Well, I reckon that’s about all I know about this Luka basketball card business. It’s a crazy world, ain’t it? Little pieces of cardboard worth more than a house. But like I said, if it makes the young folks happy, then I guess it ain’t all bad. Just gotta keep up with the times, I suppose.
And the boy, Luka. He is a good boy I think. People like him and want his card. I think he will be good in the future. And his card will be more expensive.
