First, I dug into the recent games. I mean, really dug in. Not just the scores, but I wanted to see how they were playing. Were they scoring a lot? Were they letting in a bunch of goals?

- I looked for any patterns – like, do they usually score in the first half, or are they more of a second-half team?
- I even tried to find some info on injuries. That stuff can really change a game!
Then, I started comparing Real Salt Lake to their opponents. You know, head-to-head stats, who’s been playing better lately, that kind of thing. It felt a bit like detective work, piecing together clues.
Honestly, it got a little overwhelming. There’s SO much information out there. I spent a good chunk of time just sifting through it all, trying to figure out what was important and what was just noise.
