Okay, so I saw this thing online about Mike Trout, the baseball guy, and his wife, Jessica Cox. I was curious, so I did a little digging to learn more about her.
First, I grabbed my phone and opened up the browser. Then I typed in “Mike Trout wife” in the search bar. A bunch of stuff popped up, so I started clicking around.
I found out that her name is Jessica Cox, and get this, she’s a teacher! An elementary school teacher, to be exact. I thought that was pretty cool. Then I saw that these two go way back. They met when they were just teenagers.
- They met as teenagers.
- Jessica is an elementary school teacher.
Then I stumbled upon their proposal story. Apparently, Mike asked Jessica to marry him by having a plane write it in the sky! How crazy is that? I read that this happened on June 28, 2016. They tied the knot on December 9, 2017, in Allentown, New Jersey.
And guess what? They have a kid! I found an article saying that they welcomed a son on July 30th. It seems like they’re living a pretty happy life together.
After I gathered all this information, I closed my browser and leaned back in my chair. It’s always fun to learn about the people behind the athletes we see on TV. And it’s kind of sweet to see how down-to-earth and normal they are.
Summary of What I learned
- Married: 9th December 2017
- Proposal: 28th June 2016

That’s my little adventure in internet sleuthing for today. I might do this again sometime, it’s kind of a fun way to pass the time and learn something new.
