Alright folks, let’s dive into my latest project: the Nuggets new uniforms! I’m talking about the Denver Nuggets, for those not in the know. They’ve been teasing this uniform change for a while, and I finally got my hands on some mockups and started playing around.

First, I grabbed all the reference images I could find. Official teasers, leaks, fan-made concepts – the whole shebang. I needed a clear picture of what we were working with. Then, I fired up my trusty graphic design software. I’m a Photoshop guy, but Illustrator would work just as well.
Next up, I blocked out the basic shapes. This is where things get real. You need to visualize the uniform, piece by piece. The jersey, the shorts, the socks… everything. I used simple rectangles and ellipses to get the proportions right.
Now for the fun part: the details! I started with the colors. The Nuggets have a cool palette, so I made sure to get those shades spot-on. Then, I moved on to the logos and lettering. I had to recreate some of these from scratch because the available images weren’t high-res enough. That took some time, let me tell you.
Then came the texture. Fabric isn’t perfectly smooth, right? So I added subtle textures to the jersey and shorts to give them a more realistic look. I experimented with different blending modes and opacity levels until I got something I liked.
Once I was happy with the overall design, I started thinking about presentation. I wanted to show the uniform in action, so I found some player images online and Photoshopped the uniform onto them. This really brought the design to life.
Finally, I added some finishing touches. A little bit of shading here, a highlight there. Just small things to make the design pop. And then, boom! Done. I had a complete mockup of the Nuggets new uniforms.
It was a pretty involved process, but it was a blast! I learned a lot about uniform design and presentation. And hey, maybe the Nuggets will see my mockup and give me a call! You never know.
