Okay, so I’ve been watching Wimbledon, and I got to wondering about Centre Court and No. 1 Court, specifically if No.1 Court has a roof like the Centre Court.
I started my little investigation with a quick search. I just typed in “does number one court have a roof” and see what popped up.

The results were pretty clear. Many articles and websites mentioned about Wimbledon’s courts.
I dug a little deeper, looking at a few different websites, Just to be extra sure and I found more details:
- Centre Court: Has had a retractable roof since 2009.
- No. 1 Court: Got its own retractable roof installed, completed in 2019.
So, I confirmed it! No. 1 Court does indeed have a roof. It wasn’t always there, but they finished putting it in back in 2019.
This means at both main courts, the big matches can keep going even if it rains, which happened often at the Wimbledon.
