Okay, so, I wanted to catch the New York Jets game, but the weather was looking kind of iffy. I started by checking the forecast the day before. It showed a chance of rain and some pretty strong winds. Not ideal, but I was still hopeful.
The morning of the game, I woke up and immediately looked at the updated forecast. Things had changed a bit. The chance of rain increased, and the wind was supposed to be even worse. I started to feel a little discouraged, to be honest.
- First I checked the forecast the day before.
- Then I rechecked in the morning.
- The weather seemed to be getting worse.
I decided to look up the stadium’s policy on umbrellas. Turns out, they weren’t allowed. Great. I grabbed a poncho and a waterproof hat, just in case. I also made sure to wear layers, figuring it would be cold and possibly wet.
When I got to the stadium, it was already drizzling. I put on my poncho and headed inside. The wind was definitely picking up. I found my seat and settled in, hoping the rain would hold off for a bit.
Throughout the game, the weather was all over the place. One minute it was just windy, the next it was pouring rain. I was glad I brought that poncho! There were times when I could barely see the field because of the downpour. And let me tell you, that wind was no joke.
My Gear
- Waterproof poncho – lifesaver!
- Waterproof hat – kept my head dry.
- Layers of clothing – for warmth.
Despite the weather, I still had a good time. It was definitely a memorable experience, it’s a game that I won’t soon forget, and I’m glad I went. But next time, I’ll definitely be paying even closer attention to the forecast!
