Alright, so today I messed around with making a logo for “Oklahoma Flame Basketball.” Here’s how it went down.
First, I brainstormed some ideas. What comes to mind when I hear “Oklahoma Flame”? I was thinking of, you know, the obvious stuff: basketballs, flames, maybe some Oklahoma-specific imagery.
Initial Sketches
I grabbed a pencil and paper and started sketching. Nothing fancy, just rough ideas. I doodled a few basketballs on fire, some flames shaped like the state of Oklahoma – pretty basic stuff. I just wanted to get something down on paper, anything to get the ball rolling, so to speak.
Playing with colors
I mused and picked orange and yellow, for the flames, obviously. And then I thought maybe a bit of blue, since that’s kind of a basketball color, and it would contrast nicely with the fire. I scribbled some color combinations on the sketches to see what looked good.
The Result
After a bit of messing around, I had a few designs I didn’t totally hate. I picked this simple one to share, It’s not perfect, but it’s a start.
This whole thing was just for fun, a little creative exercise.
