Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into the 2024 PGA Championship, trying to figure out who might be a good dark horse pick. You know, someone who’s not the obvious favorite, but could totally surprise everyone and take home the trophy. It’s always fun to root for the underdog, right?

My Dark Horse Hunting Process
First, I started by just looking at the list of players. I mean, you gotta start somewhere! I skimmed through, looking for names that I recognized, but maybe weren’t the usual suspects like McIlroy or Scheffler.
Then, I dug into some recent tournament results. I wanted to see who’s been playing well lately, even if they haven’t been winning the big ones. Consistency is key, you know? A guy who’s been consistently in the top 20, maybe even top 10, is someone to keep an eye on.
- Checked recent tournament finishes.
- Looked for consistent performance, not just wins.
- Considered players who might be flying under the radar.
After that, it was all about the stats. Yeah, I know, stats can be boring, but they really do tell a story. I focused on things like driving distance, accuracy off the tee, greens in regulation, and putting average. The PGA Championship is usually played on tough courses, so you need a player who can handle the pressure and the conditions.
I also did a bit of reading, Checked out some expert analysis and articles. I mean. I Wanted to see what the pros were saying, see if any names kept popping up.
Based on all of this I am looking for somebody to step up and play it’s best.
