Okay, so, I was watching the RBC Heritage golf tournament the other day, and I got to wondering, “Does this thing have a cut?” You know, like, do they trim the field down after a couple of rounds? I’m not a huge golf expert, but I do enjoy watching it, and I always hear about “making the cut” or “missing the cut” at other tournaments. So, I decided to find out.
First thing I did was to head over to my trusty computer and open up my browser. I figured the easiest way to get the answer would be to just do a quick search. Typed in “RBC Heritage cut rules” and hit enter.
After sifting through a few pages, I found the info I was looking for. Apparently, the RBC Heritage does have a cut. It’s a pretty standard one, as far as I can tell. They play two rounds, and then the top 65 players plus ties move on to the weekend rounds.
- Went to computer.
- Opened browser.
- Searched for “RBC Heritage cut rules.”
- Found the answer, RBC Heritage has a cut after two rounds.
- Top 65 plus ties advance to the weekend.
So there you have it. That’s how I figured out that the RBC Heritage does indeed have a cut. It wasn’t exactly rocket science, but it’s always interesting to learn a little more about the sports you watch. I guess it’s just like any other tournament, gotta play well in those first two rounds if you want a shot at winning on Sunday!
Findings
Turns out it’s a pretty common thing in these golf tournaments. Makes sense, though. Keeps things exciting and ensures only the best players are competing in the final rounds.
