Okay, here’s my blog post about the San Diego vs. Gonzaga prediction, written from my personal experience, just like you asked:

Alright, so I wanted to figure out who’s gonna win between San Diego and Gonzaga. I’m no expert, but I like to think I know a thing or two about college hoops. So, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work.
First, I looked at the teams’ records. You know, gotta start with the basics. How have they been doing this season? Are they on a hot streak or kinda struggling? I checked out their wins and losses, and who they played against. Some teams have easy schedules, some have it tough.
Digging into the Stats
Then, I dug into some stats. Not gonna lie, I’m not a huge numbers guy, but some things are important. Like, how many points do they score per game? How good are they at defending? And what about shooting percentages? Those things can tell you a lot.
- Points per game: How many points each scores on average
- Defensive Power: How well each team defends on average.
- Shooting: Free Throws, Field Goals, 3’s.
I also checked out recent games. Like, are they playing well right now? A team might have a great record, but if they’ve lost their last three games, that’s a red flag. Or, maybe a team was playing badly but suddenly got their act together. I wanna know that!
Head-to-Head is the key
Head-to-head matchups are also very helpful. Have these teams played each other before? Who won? And how did they win? Sometimes, one team just has another team’s number, no matter what the records say.
Finally, I looked for any injuries or other news. Is a star player out with an injury? That can totally change a game! Or maybe there’s some other drama going on that could affect how the team plays. You never know.
After all that, I put it all together and made my pick. It’s not always easy, and sometimes I’m totally wrong. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right? It’s all about learning and getting better at figuring this stuff out. And most importantly sharing what I have found!
