Well now, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here… Josh Allen Pebble Beach Pro Am thingy. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I seen some things and heard some folks talkin’. Sounds like a big to-do, this golfin’ match.
Seems like this fella, Josh Allen, he’s a big shot football player, y’know, one of them fellas who throws the pigskin around. He plays for the Buffalo Bills, whatever them Bills are. Anyways, he likes to smack them golf balls around too. This Pebble Beach Pro Am, it’s like a big party where them famous folks and the regular Joes get together and play golf.
- They call it a “pro-am,” which I guess means the pros and the, uh, “am-a-tures” play together. Sounds fancy, don’t it?
- Josh Allen, he’s been goin’ to this Pebble Beach thing for three years now. Third time’s the charm, they say. Maybe he’ll win somethin’ this year. Or maybe he’ll just have a good time. Who knows?
- He’s been playin’ with this other fella, Keith Mitchell. They seem to be buddies, always together on the golf course. Maybe they share secrets about hittin’ them balls straight. Lord knows I could use some of them secrets. My balls always end up in the weeds.
This year, they were playin’ on Thursday and Friday. I heard tell that Tom Brady, another one of them football fellas, was there too. Hangin’ out with Josh, they say. Probably talkin’ about football and golf and who knows what else. Maybe they were talkin’ about the weather. It’s always somethin’ to talk about, ain’t it?
Pebble Beach, that’s a place, I reckon. A fancy place with them green lawns and them little white balls flyin’ all over the place. I bet it costs a pretty penny to go there. More money than I’ve ever seen, that’s for sure. But them rich folks, they like to spend their money on things like golf. To each their own, I always say.
Pebble Beach golf, it’s a big deal, seems like. Lots of people watchin’, lots of cameras flashin’. Them golfers gotta be good, real good, to play in somethin’ like that. I reckon Josh Allen, he’s pretty good, even though he’s mostly a football player. He must practice a lot. Or maybe he’s just naturally good at whacking them balls. Some folks are just lucky that way.
Josh Allen’s golf game is somethin’ folks are talkin’ about, seein’ as how he’s a football star and all. It’s like when your neighbor’s kid suddenly starts playin’ the piano real good. You’re surprised, but you’re also kinda proud, even though it ain’t your kid. It’s somethin’ different, somethin’ unexpected.
Now, Monterey Peninsula, that’s where they were playin’ some of this golf. Another fancy place, I guess. Sounds like a postcard picture, all them trees and hills and whatnot. I ain’t never been to California, but I seen pictures. It’s a pretty place, they say. But I reckon it’s got its problems too, just like everywhere else.
So this ATT Pebble Beach Pro-Am, it ain’t just about golf, see? It’s about them famous folks gettin’ together, havin’ a good time, and showin’ off their skills. And it’s about the regular folks gettin’ to see them up close and personal. Maybe even gettin’ an autograph or two. It’s all part of the show, I guess. And folks seem to like it. They keep comin’ back year after year.
Buffalo Bills quarterback at a golf tournament. Who woulda thunk it? But that’s the world we live in, ain’t it? Full of surprises. You never know what’s gonna happen next. Maybe next year, Josh Allen will be singin’ opera or dancin’ ballet. Or maybe he’ll just stick to football and golf. Either way, I reckon he’ll be alright. He seems like a good fella, even if he does play a silly game with a funny shaped ball. And that’s all there is to it, I reckon.
Keith Mitchell Josh Allen pairing seems to be a regular thing now. They must get along alright. Golfin’ buddies, they call ’em. It’s good to have friends, especially when you’re smackin’ little white balls around a big green field. Makes it more fun, I reckon. And maybe they help each other out, you know, give each other tips and such. That’s what friends do, ain’t it?
So there ya have it. My two cents on this here Josh Allen Pebble Beach Pro Am thing. It ain’t much, but it’s all I got. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go water my petunias. They’re thirsty little things, them petunias.
