Okay, so today I wanted to make something both smart and fashionable. I’ve been seeing these crossword-style designs popping up, and I thought, “Hey, I can do that!” So, I decided to create my own crossword art piece.

First, I brainstormed some words. I wanted them to be related, maybe around a theme. I jotted down a bunch of ideas on a piece of paper – things like “style,” “chic,” “trend,” “vogue,” and so on. It was a bit messy, just throwing words out there until I had a good list.
Next, I tried to fit them together. This was the tricky part! I grabbed some graph paper (you know, the kind with all the little squares) and started sketching out different arrangements. I erased a lot, moved words around, and tried different combinations. It was like a puzzle, trying to make everything intersect neatly.
Once I had a layout I liked, I decided on the style. Should I go for bold block letters, or something more delicate and cursive? I played around with a few fonts on my computer, just to get an idea of what might look good. Finally, I selected a simple and clean font.
Then came the “fashionable” part. I didn’t want just plain black and white. I thought about adding some color, maybe a watercolor background, or some little illustrations around the words. In the end I decided to create my crossword and add a fashinable image in background.
The whole process took me a couple of hours, mostly because I kept changing my mind! But it was fun, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s not perfect, but it’s my own little piece of “smart and fashionable” art. And hey, I learned something new along the way!
