Okay, so today I want to talk about something that’s been on my mind lately – John Daly and his cigars. I mean, the guy is a legend on the golf course, but he’s also known for his, shall we say, enthusiastic smoking habit.
The other day, I was down a rabbit hole on the internet, as one does, and I started looking into just how much this guy smokes. You won’t believe it. Some folks online were saying he lights up like, 40 of these things a day! Can you even imagine? That’s like, a whole chimney situation happening on the green.
So, I got curious. I grabbed a pack of Marlboro Lights – because I heard someone, somewhere, say that’s what he’s switched to, from the Reds he used to smoke. I wanted to see if I could even handle one, just to get a sense of what Daly’s dealing with every day. I know its bad, not good for your body and all that. But I was curious.
- First attempt: Total fail. I coughed like a newbie, and it tasted, well, let’s just say it wasn’t pleasant.
- Second try: I took a smaller puff. Still not great, but I didn’t choke this time. Progress, I guess?
- Third time’s the charm? Nope. I gave up. I just couldn’t get the hang of it.
My Conclusion
Honestly, I don’t know how Daly does it. Maybe his lungs are made of steel or something. After my little experiment, I have even more respect for the guy’s tolerance, but also, a lot more concern. I mean, I know smoking is terrible for you, and seeing just how much he smokes in person really hammered that home.
It was wild, let me tell you. My throat felt like sandpaper afterward, and I smelled like an ashtray. But, I gotta say, it was an interesting experience, even if it was also pretty darn unpleasant. I just hope that Daly can get help if he needs it. Smoking is so bad for you, and watching him made me wonder if he gets any help.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure into the world of John Daly and his cigars. Not something I’ll be repeating, that’s for sure!
