Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to see Tiger Woods’ yacht, “Privacy,” for a while now. I mean, who hasn’t? This thing is legendary. It’s like, the ultimate symbol of luxury and success, right? So, I finally decided to do something about it.
First, I did some digging online. Turns out, this beauty was purchased back in 2004 for a cool $20 million. It’s been spotted all over the world, from the Bahamas to New York during the 2018 U.S. Open. It made the news during the pandemic because it was in New York, and then it was spotted in the Bahamas, which makes sense because it’s, you know, the Bahamas.
Planning the Mission
Knowing that Tiger sometimes uses “Privacy” as his home base during tournaments, I figured my best bet was to try and spot it during a PGA Tour event. This bad boy is 155 feet long with three decks, so it’s not exactly something you can easily miss. It can also carry smaller boats, which is pretty rad.
- Step 1: Find out where Tiger was playing next. Easy enough with all the golf news sites out there.
- Step 2: Figure out if the tournament was near a marina or somewhere a yacht could dock. This was a bit trickier, but I managed.
- Step 3: Book a trip, obviously!
The Stakeout
So, I booked a flight and a hotel near the tournament. I spent the first day just enjoying the golf and soaking in the atmosphere. I talked to some locals, and asked discreetly if anyone had seen a massive yacht around. I got a few leads, some people said that they saw a massive boat and others said it was in the Bahamas, but nothing concrete.
The next day, I rented a small boat and started exploring the nearby waters. I cruised around for hours, scanning the horizon. And then, boom! There she was. “Privacy” in all her glory. It was even more impressive in person. It’s huge! You can see the different levels. I snapped a bunch of pictures. I mean, I had to document this, right?
Mission Accomplished
I cruised around for a while, trying to get the best angles without being too obvious. I mean, I didn’t want to get in trouble or anything. Finally, I headed back, feeling pretty darn satisfied with myself. I got the yacht pics. It’s a great boat and looks very luxurious, but it was more exciting seeing it in person than seeing it in pictures. It is a lot bigger than I expected. Overall it was a fun experience, but I would not do it again, just one time is enough.
So, yeah, that’s the story of how I finally saw Tiger Woods’ yacht. It was a bit of an adventure, but totally worth it. If you’re a golf fan or just appreciate amazing boats, I definitely recommend trying to spot “Privacy” if you ever get the chance. Just remember to be respectful and don’t get too close, okay?
