Okay, so yesterday, I tried to do this thing called “rolling Toomer’s Corner.” Now, I’d heard about it, seen pictures, but never actually done it myself. You know, it’s one of those things that’s like a tradition, especially after a big Auburn win. So, I figured, why not give it a shot?
First, I had to get some toilet paper. Not just any toilet paper, mind you. I went to the store and picked up a couple of rolls, the cheap kind, you know, the one-ply stuff. You want the kind that’s gonna really unravel and make a mess. That’s the whole point, right?
- Got the toilet paper.
- Found my way to Toomer’s Corner.
Next, I had to get to Toomer’s Corner. I walked over there, and there were already a few people milling around. I think they were curious about what I was up to. I mean, it’s not every day you see someone walking around with rolls of toilet paper in broad daylight, is it?
Getting Down to Business
Now came the fun part. I started unrolling the toilet paper, getting a good length going. Then, with a mighty heave, I tossed it up towards the trees and the wires. It took a few tries, I won’t lie. My aim wasn’t exactly perfect, and the wind was not helping. But I kept at it, throwing roll after roll into the air.
Slowly but surely, the trees and wires started to get covered in white. It was actually pretty cool to see. And you know what? Other people started joining in! Some had their own toilet paper, and others were just grabbing strands from the ground and tossing them back up.
By the time I was done, my arms were tired, and there was toilet paper everywhere. It was a mess, but a beautiful mess, if that makes sense. I felt like I’d really participated in something, you know? Like I was a part of this tradition, this community.
So, yeah, that was my experience rolling Toomer’s Corner. It was fun, it was messy, and it was definitely something I’ll remember. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend giving it a try. Just make sure you bring enough toilet paper!
