Okay, here’s my blog post about the 2001 NBA scoring leaders, written from my perspective as a blogger sharing their process:
Alright guys, so today I decided to dive into some old-school NBA stats. I’ve always been fascinated by those early 2000s seasons, and I wanted to see who was really lighting it up back then. My goal? Find the top scorers of the 2000-2001 NBA season. Simple enough, right?
I started by hitting up my usual spot – the internet. Seriously, I opened my browser. No specific search engine, just, you know, the internet.
I typed in “2001 NBA scoring leaders” – pretty straightforward, nothing fancy. I figured that’d get me where I needed to go.
The first page I found was, you guessed it, a goldmine of NBA statistics.I mean all kinds of info.I found what I am looking for!
I scrolled down a bit, looking for that 2000-2001 section. Once I spotted it, I focused on the “Points Per Game” (PPG) column. That’s the key stat, obviously, for finding the scoring leaders.
Here’s what I jotted down in my notes, just the top 5, ’cause who has time for more than that?:
- Allen Iverson: A monster that year!
- Jerry Stackhouse : This dude was on fire.
- Shaquille O’Neal: No surprise there, Shaq was a beast.
- Vince Carter : Man, Vinsanity!
- Paul Pierce: The Truth!
So, there you have it! A quick trip down memory lane, and I got my list. It’s always cool to look back at these seasons and see how the game has changed. Those were the good old days, huh?
This was a pretty easy project, to be honest. Took me, like, I don’t know, five or ten minutes? The hardest part was probably just deciding to do it in the first place. I had to choose between many * that, it was smooth sailing.
Conclusion (of my little project, not like, a REAL conclusion)
Honestly, the most important thing is that this reminds me how much I love digging into sports stats. I’m not going to go all “data analyst” on you, but it’s fun to see the numbers and remember those players and teams.
I might do this again with another season sometime. Maybe the 90s? Or even go further back? Who knows! Let me know if you have any requests!
