Okay, so I’ve been trying to get my golf swing in better shape, and I kept hearing about this “wristband” thing. I wasn’t even sure what it was, but I figured, why not give it a shot? So, I went online and looked it up – turns out, it’s supposed to help with your wrist position during the swing.

First, I got myself one of these wristbands. It was pretty simple, just a band that goes around your wrist, nothing fancy. Didn’t even had a digital screen, just a band.
My Experiment Begins
I strapped it on, and man, did it feel weird at first! It’s like it’s forcing your wrist to stay in a certain position. I headed out to my backyard – no fancy driving range for me, just good old grass and a bucket of balls.
- My first few swings were… awkward, to say the least. I felt like a robot trying to learn how to move.
- I kept hitting the ground before the ball, shanking it to the side – you name it, I did it.
- I kept swinging,swinging,swinging.
But, I stuck with it. I told myself, “Just keep practicing, you’ll get the hang of it.” And slowly, it started to feel a little more natural. I started noticing that I wasn’t flipping my wrists as much at impact. I started feel it, by my muscl and body.
I practiced with it for a few days, just hitting balls in the backyard, trying to get used to the feeling. I even tried using it during a couple of rounds on the actual * was way more fun, more power and control.
My take?
It’s definitely not a magic fix, but it did help me become more aware of my wrist position. I think it’s a decent tool for practice, especially if you’re like me and tend to get a little “flippy” with your wrists. I still have a long way to go, but hey, every little bit helps, right? I just kept hitting ball after ball.
I think it is a helpful tool.
