Okay, so I wanted to see which Kansas basketball players made it to the NBA. It’s always cool to follow college players and see where they end up, right?

Digging into the Data
First, I needed a good place to start. You know, somewhere with a list of Kansas players. There are tons of sites out there, but I just wanted something simple and reliable.
I started by browsing a few sports websites I usually visit for scores and news. I figured they’d probably have some historical data or lists.
I spent a little bit of time clicking around. Some sites had info scattered across different pages, which was kind of annoying. I was looking for something more consolidated.
Eventually, I found a site, that had the information that could be helpful, but it was not my best choice.
I realized that the official websites might be more reliable than a wiki, so I decided to give it a shot.
Finally, I got smart and just tried to find the offical site for a list of them.
Bingo! I found a solid list on the official website. It wasn’t perfectly formatted, but it had all the names, so I could work with that.
Making My Own List
Once I had the list of names from the official site, I wanted to see which of those guys were currently in the NBA. I had a few options here:

- Manual Search: I could just Google each player one by one. Tedious, but it would work.
I went with the manual search, mostly because I was already in that “research” mindset. Plus, it’s kind of fun to see what each player is up to.
I went down the list, name by name, and just did a quick search. For each one, I looked to see if they were on a current NBA roster. Pretty straightforward.
So, there you have it. That’s how I went from “I wonder…” to having a current list of Kansas basketball players in the NBA. Not the fanciest method, but hey, it got the job done!
