Right, so I was thinking about David Duval the other day. Watching some old golf tournament on TV, maybe one from the late 90s or early 2000s when he was just lights out. Seeing him play got me thinking, just totally out of the blue, about where guys like that actually live. You know, what does the ‘david duval home’ actually look like?
Started Looking Around
So, naturally, I went to my computer and started poking around online. Just typed in his name and ‘home’. Figured I’d find some magazine spread or something, easy peasy. Well, not quite.
First thing I saw a lot about was this place he apparently used to own in Colorado. Cherry Hills Village, I think it was called. Sounded fancy. Saw some pictures here and there, looked like a pretty big place, kinda what you’d expect. Lots of space, probably near a golf course. But then I read he sold that one quite a while ago. So, scratch that.
Okay, so where did he go? Kept searching. Saw some chatter about him being in Florida, maybe around the Jacksonville or Ponte Vedra Beach area. That makes sense, with the PGA Tour being headquartered there and all. Lots of golfers live down that way. But finding anything solid, like a recent picture or specific details? Nope. Really tough.
Hitting a Bit of a Wall
It was kinda frustrating, actually. You’d think with someone so famous back in the day, there’d be more info. But it seemed like everything was either about the old Colorado house or just general guesses about Florida.
Reminded me a bit of trying to find a specific old part for my car last year. Knew it existed, knew someone must have it, but just kept running into dead ends online or people who thought they knew but didn’t. Spent hours on that, just like I was spending time trying to figure out Duval’s house situation.
- Found the Colorado place info easy enough.
- Heard the Florida rumors, but nothing firm.
- Mostly just found golf stats and old news.
Got me thinking, maybe it’s better that way. These guys are under a microscope all the time when they’re playing. Probably nice for them to have a place where they can just disappear and be normal, away from cameras and nosey people like me trying to figure out their address just ’cause I saw them on an old TV replay.
So, my whole effort to check out the ‘david duval home’? Didn’t really get anywhere concrete. Learned he used to live somewhere nice and probably still does, but keeps it private now. Fair enough. Was an interesting little rabbit hole to go down for an hour or so, anyway.
