Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this here NFL map thingy for week 1, 2023. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I figured out enough to tell ya what’s what.
So, you wanna watch the football games on TV, right? Well, it ain’t as simple as flipping through channels no more. They got this here “regional broadcast” thing, which means some places get different games than others. Darn confusing, if you ask me.
What Games Are on When?
Now, I ain’t gonna list every single game. Too much for my old brain! But I can tell ya about some of the big ones. They had that New York Giants playin’ against them Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. That was a big deal, I hear.
- Sunday Games: A whole bunch of games on Sunday afternoon. Some on FOX, some on CBS, some on NBC. You gotta look at the map to see what you get.
- Monday Night Football: That’s on ESPN, usually. Another big game, but I forget who played. Getting old ain’t for the faint of heart, lemme tell ya.
How to Watch These Games, Now?
Okay, so you figured out what game you wanna watch. But how do you actually watch it? Well, you got a few choices, or so my grandson told me. Sounds complicated but here’s the gist of it:
First, you got your regular cable TV. If you got that, you’re probably good to go. Just find the right channel – FOX, CBS, NBC, or ESPN – and you’re set. But like I said, what channel has what game depends on where you live. That’s where that dang map comes in.
Then there’s this newfangled stuff called “streaming.” It’s like watchin’ TV but on the internet. My grandson says you can use things like YouTube TV, Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, or some other thing called “fuboTV.” Sounds fancy, huh? I don’t get it but young people love it. These things cost money, though, they ain’t free. And you gotta have good internet, which we sure don’t have out in the sticks.
Finding the Dang NFL Map
Now, where do you find this here map? Well, that’s the tricky part. My grandson says you can find it online. He showed me on his phone, but it was too small for my eyes. He says you gotta search for “NFL broadcast map week 1 2023” or somethin’ like that. Then you gotta squint and look for your area. It’s all colored and stuff, real confusing looking if ya ask me.
What if You Don’t Get the Game You Want?
Okay, so what if the game you wanna watch ain’t on in your area? Well, you’re kinda outta luck, I reckon. Unless you got a friend in another part of the country who can tell you what’s happenin’. Or maybe you can go to a bar that has all the games. But that means drivin’ and I ain’t too fond of drivin’ at night no more.
This Whole Thing Is Too Complicated!
Honestly, this whole thing is too darn complicated for me. Back in my day, you just turned on the TV and there was the game. None of this map business and streaming and whatnot. But I guess that’s just how things are now. Progress, they call it. I call it a headache.
Anyways, Just Enjoy the Football
So, there you have it. That’s my take on this here NFL map thing for week 1, 2023. I probably didn’t explain it too good, but I tried. At the end of the day, just try to enjoy the football games, folks. That’s what it’s all about, right? Rootin’ for your team, eatin’ some snacks, and havin’ a good time. That’s somethin’ even an old lady like me can understand.
Don’t Forget Local Channels!
And one last thing, don’t forget about your local channels! Sometimes they show the games too. You gotta check your TV guide or somethin’. I ain’t sure how it all works, but it’s worth a look. My antenna gets a few channels, maybe you got some too. It ain’t fancy but it’s free!
Alright, I’m done talkin’ about this now. My throat’s gettin’ dry. Go enjoy your football games, ya hear?
