Okay, so, paige stewart, huh? Let me tell ya, this was a weekend project that turned into a whole thing. Started out just messing around, ended up…well, you’ll see.

First off, I saw this image online, right? Just a cool design. Figured, “Hey, I can probably recreate that.” Famous last words, am I right?
Day 1: The “Easy” Part
- Started by sketching the basic shapes. Nothing fancy, just getting the proportions right.
- Then, I blocked out the colors. Used my usual palette, you know, the one I always fall back on.
- Thought I was being all clever by using a gradient for the background. Looked awful. Scrapped it.
Seriously, the gradient was a disaster. Looked like something out of a 90s website. Back to basics, just a solid color for now.
Day 2: Details, Details, and More Details
- This is where things got tricky. Those little details, the textures, the shadows…man.
- Spent hours fiddling with the lighting. Trying to get that “pop” without making it look fake.
- Kept going back and forth on the color palette. Is it too warm? Too cool? Ugh.
I swear, I almost rage-quit at one point. But I’m stubborn, so I kept going. Googled some stuff about color theory, watched a couple of tutorials on shading…you know, the usual.
Day 3: The Polish (and the Realization)
- Finally started to feel like I was getting somewhere. Added some highlights, tweaked the contrast.
- Realized I completely screwed up the perspective on one of the elements. Fixed it. (Took forever).
- Did some final touch-ups, and called it done.
The Big Realization
So, after all that, I step back and look at the finished piece. And you know what? It’s…okay. It’s not terrible, but it’s not exactly what I was hoping for either.
But here’s the thing: I learned a ton. I got better at shading, I experimented with colors, and I pushed myself to finish something even when I wanted to give up. That’s the real win, right?
Lessons Learned (aka Things I’ll Do Differently Next Time)
- Plan ahead more. Don’t just dive in.
- Don’t be afraid to experiment, but know when to cut your losses. (That gradient…)
- Take breaks! Staring at a screen for 8 hours straight is not good for your eyes (or your sanity).
Anyway, that’s the story of my paige stewart project. It was a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m glad I did it. Now, onto the next one!
