So, I heard WWE was coming back to South Carolina in 2024, and I just had to see it for myself. I mean, who doesn’t love a good wrestling match, right? I went online and started digging around to see what events were scheduled and where.
First, I found out about this WWE Speed event in Columbia on October 18, 2024. “Sweet!” I thought, Columbia is not too far from me. I checked out the full match card, it looked pretty decent, but I wanted to see other options first.
Then I saw that WWE Main Event was scheduled for May 13, 2024, in Greenville. Greenville is a bit of a drive, but the idea of seeing it live was really tempting. I looked into the match card for this one too and saw some big names. I marked it on my calendar as a strong maybe.
Next up was Friday Night SmackDown in Columbia, also on May 19. Now, this was exciting! I’ve always been a big fan of SmackDown. Plus, it was at the Colonial Life Arena, a pretty famous venue. I looked up the details and saw that they were featuring superstars like Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. This one immediately jumped to the top of my list. I spent a good hour just imagining myself there, soaking in the atmosphere.
But wait, there’s more! I stumbled upon another event – WWE Monday Night RAW, but this one was a bit further out, scheduled for February 17, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was a longer wait, but the thought of seeing RAW live was definitely worth considering. It’s a whole different beast. But Charlotte is a bit far from me, so I decided to keep it in mind.
After weighing all the options, I finally decided to go for the Friday Night SmackDown in Columbia. It just had the best combination of timing, location, and the superstars I wanted to see. I grabbed the ticket, and now it’s just a matter of waiting for May 19.
