Okay, so, I was trying to figure out how much money this golfer, Xander Schauffele, has made in his career. It’s actually pretty interesting, I mean, the guy’s made some serious dough!
I started by just doing a simple search. I found his official PGA Tour page. That’s where I got the first number. According to that, he’s made around $46,598,394 since he started on the tour in 2017. Pretty crazy, right? And just this year, he’s already made over $7.6 million. I also found a breakdown of what he earned each year, but it didn’t have the complete total.
Then, I dug a little deeper. I found another site that said his total career earnings are $29,381,473, and it even tried to break it down to an average per year, which it said is like $4,896. But that number seemed way too low, and now I know it’s completely wrong, so I just ignored it.
- I saw another figure, $68,919,490, listed as his total career earnings as of January 2024. That’s a big jump from the PGA Tour number, and it seems more accurate because it must include other stuff besides just official tour money.
- Another source mentioned his net worth is estimated to be around $14 million. Which, you know, is a lot, but it’s also a lot less than his total earnings. It’s probably because he’s got expenses, taxes, and all that stuff.
- Oh, and get this – one site said he made a whopping $79.9 million as of May 2024! That number kept going up the more I looked. It said that in 2023, he earned $15.1 million, with $8.4 million from official events and $6.5 million from the Tour Championship. That must be some big prize money!
Some Other Numbers I Found
Then I found out he also earned $5,000,000 from something called the Player Index Program in 2024. I’m not totally sure what that is, but it sounds like some kind of bonus or something.
And as a funny side note, I also saw that Tiger Woods has made over $120 million, which is insane, but it makes sense. But then Jack Nicklaus has only made like $5.7 million, which doesn’t make any sense at all! It just goes to show how much more money there is in golf these days, I guess.
I also found out that Rory Mcilroy won almost $11 million on the PGA Tour and $9.1 million on the DP Tour in 2024. He had two wins, a runner-up, and 7 top-10s. That is a lot of money.
Finally, I learned that Xander had a couple of top-20 finishes at the Travelers Championship (T13) and the Scottish Open (T15), which earned him $530,800, and his caddie likely got around $26. That’s a nice little chunk of change!
So yeah, it was a bit of a rabbit hole, but it was cool to see how much money these top golfers make. And Xander Schauffele? He’s definitely doing alright for himself. After piecing it all together, I’d say the $79.9 million number is probably the most accurate for his total career earnings up to now, May 2024. It was fun to track down all these numbers, even if they were all over the place at first!
