Okay, so today I decided to dig into the stats for the St. Louis Cardinals vs. New York Yankees game. I’ve always been a huge baseball fan, and I love comparing player performances. I figured, why not document the whole process? It might be useful for someone else, or even just fun for me to look back on.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to find a reliable source for the game data. You know, a place that wouldn’t just give me the basic box score, but detailed player stats. And I really need data that’s accurate.
The Data Hunt
I started with a simple search. Typed in something like “Cardinals Yankees player stats” and, well, a bunch of stuff popped up.
I clicked around a few of the top results. Some sites were okay, some were kinda clunky, and some just felt… off. You know, like maybe they hadn’t updated their info since 1998. Eventually, though, found a site look good and I begin to use.
Diving into the Numbers
Alright, once I had the data, that’s when the real fun started. I love seeing who’s hot and who’s not.
I made a simple table, just to keep things organized. Columns for player name, at-bats, hits, runs, RBIs, strikeouts, the whole nine yards. I start fill data.
Putting It All Together
After going through the data. I copied and pasted the important data to save it on my computer. I use some text tools to do *’s good to have all of it for future use.
So yeah, that’s pretty much how I spent my afternoon – geeking out on baseball stats. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I enjoyed it. And hey, maybe I’ll do this again for another game. Seems like a fun way to keep track of things and learn more about the players and teams I follow.
