Alright, let’s talk about this…uh… Mar-keese Brown fella, for that fantasy football thing my grandson keeps jabbering about. Don’t know much about it, but I’ll tell ya what I do know, or what I heard him yelling about anyway.
So, this Mar-keese, he plays for the… Kansas City Chiefs, I think. Sounds like a bunch of big shots to me. My grandson, he keeps saying Mar-keese is gonna be a big deal, a “WR3” or somethin’. Don’t ask me what that means. Sounds like he’s important, though. Gotta catch them balls, I reckon.
Now, I heard tell that Mar-keese, he had a good start last year, 2022, yeah? But then somethin’ happened. Shoulder trouble, they say. Gotta get it fixed up. That’s no good. Can’t catch no balls with a bum shoulder, can ya?
This “dynasty league” thing my grandson’s in… sounds fancy. He says Mar-keese is a “buy” in that league. Means he’s a good deal, I guess. Like getting a good price on tomatoes at the market. But he also said somethin’ about Mar-keese not bein’ so great in some other games, somethin’ about “PPR points”. See, I told ya, all this fancy talk. Confuses an old lady like me.
They say he’s gonna miss some time with that shoulder. Gotta go on somethin’ called “injured reserve.” Sounds like he’s sittin’ on the bench, poor fella. Hope he gets better soon. My grandson gets all worked up when his players ain’t playin’.
- He’s with the Chiefs now, that much I know.
- Shoulder’s messed up, gonna be out for a bit.
- Some folks say he’s good, some say he’s not so good. Confusin’, ain’t it?
From what I gather, this Mar-keese fella, he’s got potential, like a good ol’ cornfield ready to sprout. But he’s had some bad luck with that shoulder. And it sounds like he ain’t been super consistent, kinda like the weather ’round here, never know what you’re gonna get.
So, if you’re doin’ that fantasy football thing, seems like Mar-keese is a gamble. Could be good, could be a dud. My grandson, he’s always takin’ chances. Says it’s part of the fun. Me? I like things a little more predictable. Like knowing the sun’s gonna rise in the east.
But let’s look at it this way: if he gets that shoulder fixed up good and proper, maybe he’ll be runnin’ around like a chicken with its head cut off, catchin’ all them balls. And then my grandson will be happy, and that’s all that matters, I suppose.
This “expert” talk, all them numbers and rankings… it’s enough to make your head spin. I say, just watch the games. See if the boy can run, see if he can catch. That’s all that really matters, ain’t it? Fancy stats ain’t gonna win you no games if the fella can’t play.
They say he ain’t finished better than “WR26” in some points thing. Again, with the numbers! Sounds like he could do better, that’s for sure. But maybe this year will be different. Maybe that shoulder will heal up, and he’ll be a star. Or maybe he’ll just be another fella on the bench. Only time will tell, I reckon.
So, there you have it. My two cents on this Mar-keese Brown. Take it or leave it. I’m just an old lady tryin’ to make sense of all this football talk. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
