Alright, so you wanna know how tall that Zion fella is, huh? That basketball player, the one they talk about on the TV. Well, lemme tell ya, that boy’s a big’un! They say he’s 6 foot 6 inches tall. Yep, six foot six. That’s taller than my old man was, and he was a tall drink of water, I tell ya.
Now, I ain’t never seen this Zion in person, mind you. I mostly just watch the chickens and the garden grow these days. But from what they say on that there television, he’s a real strong fella too. Weighs a whole bunch, they say. Like, 284 pounds or somethin’. That’s a lot of meat on them bones! He’s gotta be eatin’ good, that’s for sure.
- They say he plays for the New Orleans Pelicans. I ain’t never been to New Orleans, but I hear it’s a lively place.
- This Zion, he scores a lot of points in them basketball games. Twenty-nine points, they said the other day. That’s a whole lotta points, ain’t it?
- He also grabs them rebounds, whatever those are. And he helps his teammates score too. Sounds like a good team player to me.
I tell ya, these young fellas these days, they got it good. Playin’ games for a livin’. Back in my day, we worked hard in the fields, sun up to sun down. But I guess that’s just the way things go. Times change, and people change with ’em.
Anyways, back to this Zion fella. He’s 6 foot 6, like I said. That’s pretty tall. He was born in some place called Salisbury, apparently. Never heard of it myself. But I guess it’s a place where they grow big basketball players, huh?
They say he jumped into the NBA in 2019. That ain’t too long ago. He’s still a young’un, I guess. Got a lot of basketball left in him, probably. And they say he can jump real high too! Like, way up in the air. Must be somethin’ to see.
He’s under contract with the Pelicans till 2028, so he’ll be playin’ for them for a while, looks like. Probably makin’ a good chunk of change doin’ it too. Good for him, I say. Work hard, play hard, that’s what I always believed.
So yeah, that’s the lowdown on Zion Williamson’s height. Six foot six. A big, strong fella who plays basketball real good. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on them chickens. Them eggs ain’t gonna gather themselves, you know.
Folks keep on jabbering about his age, sayin’ he’s about 24 years old. That’s just a young sprout in my book. Still got a lot of learnin’ and growin’ to do, even if he is already as tall as a beanpole.
And this “vertical jump” they talk about? Sounds like a whole lotta fuss to me. Back in my day, we jumped when we had to, not for show. But I guess that’s how they do things in the basketball world. Jumpin’ and runnin’ and throwin’ that ball around.
They also say he’s a power forward. Well, ain’t that somethin’. Sounds mighty important. Guess that means he’s one of the strong ones, the ones that push and shove under the basket. Makes sense, considerin’ his size. He ain’t no skinny little fella, that’s for sure.
Anyway, that’s all I know ‘bout this Zion Williamson fella. He’s tall, he’s strong, and he plays basketball real good. And that’s all there is to it, as far as I’m concerned.
